November is National Adoption Month. The Respect Life office of the Belleville diocese is sponsoring an online forum on adoption, which is a great way to promote the gospel of life, helping pregnant women in need, their babies and even helping infertile couples or bringing more joy to families who love and are dedicated to children.
The Respect Life Office has a nice web site here.
This is the Focus on Adoption page.
Here is the Respect Life blog where adoption will be discussed this month. I will have to be careful about whether/how to participate b/c I did not find Catholic Charities to be helpful in NoVa or here. [We had to do a final report to the home country after we moved here. Bville CC wanted us to pay pre-adoption application fees, plus some other fees in addition to final visit/report costs. A local Lutheran agency did the job much cheaper and very efficiently/quickly. I am sorry to say this, but it's true.]
Also, information about the Bus Caravan to DC for the March for Life in January is posted here. The Shrine is the pickup and drop off place. No children under 7 may take the buses. I understand. It's a grueling trip. God bless those who can make it. This year, as always after the presidential election, the March will be just a day or two after the inauguration. Send a strong message to the pro-abortion radical who will soon take up residence in the White House. Let him know right away where we stand. Just think, if McCain had pulled it out, I'd bet a million that Sarah Palin would be present at the March as Veep. She might anyway. Let's hope so!
